Movement is an essential part of healthy development. At Sasana, physical activity supports not only the body, but also the mind, emotions, and will. From imaginative games in early childhood to team sports and outdoor challenges in the upper grades, students engage in movement that nurtures confidence, cooperation, and joy.
In middle and high school, students also practise Bothmer gymnastics — a movement discipline developed within Waldorf education. With its graceful, purposeful exercises, Bothmer strengthens posture, spatial awareness, inner balance, and clarity of movement. It supports adolescents as they navigate physical and emotional changes, helping them feel more centred, capable, and
connected to themselves and the world around them.
