From a Humble Start
Sasana (formally known as Waldorf Kelip-kelip) began in 2011 in Kota Kemuning with a small group of children, teachers, and parents who believed education could be different. Founded by Teacher David, the school started as a non-profit initiative with a simple purpose: to nurture curiosity, creativity, and joy in learning — not for profit, but for the children.
After the first year, a group of pioneer parents stepped forward to take on the responsibility of growing the school, while Teacher David continued his role as a dedicated teacher.
A Community that Grew
In those early years, every festival was handmade, every classroom painted with love, every song and story shared as a gift. From one corner lot, we expanded to four in the same neighbourhood — each space alive with play, music, and community.
2016 — A New Chapter
With full hearts and helping hands, Sasana moved to Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang. This gave us room to plant gardens, build sunlit classrooms, and welcome more families.
A School for All Ages
Over the years, Sasana blossomed into a full Waldorf school. From early childhood through high school, our students now grow in an environment that values joy, wholeness, and courage — even through challenges like the pandemic.
Today & Tomorrow
Today, Sasana is proud to be Malaysia’s first international non-profit Waldorf school. Our story continues with every new child and family who joins us.s.
To safeguard our future, we are in the process of registering as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLBG), ensuring our place as a non-profit school.
Looking ahead, we are preparing to move into a new campus in 2027 — a home that will carry Sasana into its next chapter.
