Sasana International School was founded in 2020 and is the first international Waldorf school here in Malaysia.
The successful establishment of Sasana International School on its current campus in Bandar Tasik Puteri was made possible by the collaboration of founding teachers and parents and our community’s vision for a full year 1-12 Waldorf school programme.
Today our school and associated early childhood centre offer seamless education from Kindergarten to Year 12. Our aim is to complete the development of our high School programme by the end of 2023.
We are currently working on a new purpose-built campus, which is also located in Bandar Tasik Puteri, and which we hope to open in 2026.
We aim to realize the full potential of Waldorf Education through provision of a rich, structured and localized curriculum which aligns with child development, ensuring that content and teaching approach are age-appropriate.

An explicit emphasis on community cultivates among students an appreciation of diversity and a strong sense of social responsibility. Parents engage positively with the school in a wrap-around approach to nurture and support the development of their children.
Through purposeful use of assessment information, we aim to provide an environment of academic certainty in which students are well supported to access qualifications pathways to higher learning.

Through this provision of rich and contextual learning experiences, Waldorf students cultivate their intellectual, emotional, physical, creative and spiritual capacities to be individuals with a well-developed sense of purpose and direction.
Internationally, Waldorf graduates are highly sought after in tertiary education and vocations (AWSNA). This may be because of their well-developed capacity for thinking and their ability to be creative and adaptable and to act with initiative.
Fundamentally, Waldorf teachers are working to develop in their students, an inner enthusiasm and motivation for learning and a lively interest in the world. These are important foundations for life-long learning.
